Some people think I am courageous doing all the different things I am invited to, but too often I feel scared, afraid, not able to or good enough. But I still do the things because I don´t want fear to be controlling me nor receiving too much power and attention.

It is God in me helping me to raise my voice again and again for things I feel he cares about. His Holy Spirit is greater than my fears and inadequacies.

May I therefore encourage especially you women to raise your voices and say YES to things, events, opportunities, joining a board, leadership roles and not let fear overtake you because you want to please more than to dare greatly?

And I am here to cheer you on and praying with you to see the Almighty God do more than you can ever imagine.

Who knows what might be the outcome of you daring. In the best case a triumph of high achievement or at the worst failing while daring greatly. Both with the help and grace of God.

Or in the words of Theodor Roosevelt:

“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

Dare greatly this week, this month, this year! I want to celebrate the successes and failures with you because you dared!
